Everything you need to know about working together
About Our Approach
Many consultants are specialized in one area of pediatric sleep or are sleep trainers. Heather has developed her own title through years of study and multiple certifications. Two of those being Integrative Infant Sleep Practitioner and Baby-led Sleep & Well-being specialist. As an integrative pediatric sleep and well-being practitioner, Heather has been trained with an attachment based sleep lens, the body-based baby sleep lens, uses a nervous system informed perspective, and understanding of how energetics and spirituality plays into baby sleep, and the training in child and peri/postnatal nutrition.
No. The Nurture Spot focuses on holistic care: we will take a look at more than sleep, cookie cutter sleep plans aren't part of the deal. Together we will explore what healthy and biologically normal foundations look like for optimal rest for the whole family. You won't find anything about self-soothing, bad habits like feeding to sleep, or drowsy but awake language here.
I have a newborn package for expecting moms and those within the first 4 months. If you want longer support, I work with babies within neurological infancy from 4 months to 3 years.
A practitioner promising results by x many days is a walking red flag. While averages exist, there is far too much depth to holistic care to put a timeline on results.
Packages & Pricing
The journey you choose heavily depends on the type of support you desire and the portal you want to walk through. Schedule a Kindling Call and I would be honored to help you choose the perfect support for your family or you can take the quiz built to help you decide.
Every package is unique, but they are all based on a holistic perspective. If you are curious about a specific package, I encourage you to view its listing under "Services," book a free Kindling Call, or reach out via email and Heather can answer your questions (heather@thenurturespot.com).
There are extension options available and I would be happy to chat about the support your family needs.
That is entirely up to your needs and desires. The add-ons were designed with the exhausted, busy mama in mind. If you don't think an add-on will benefit your specific needs, please know that you can still thrive on your sleep journey.
Yes. The payment portal uses Klarna for those who would like to set up payment plans.
Working Together
While you decide on the journey you want to walk, you can book a free Kindling Call to have a chat about your needs, desires, and how to achieve them. Once you decide and your payment is received, you will receive a confirmation email that has a comprehensive intake form. You'll fill that out and send it back, this is when my work starts. Not only will I go through and create an action plan based around your unique family, but I will also build out the path we will walk together. By the end of our time together, you will have rest and nourishment.
Absolutely! I encourage partners to join so that the care team is on the same page. Some of the packages involve maternal specifics and it can be super helpful to have your partner involved in your postpartum journey, not just baby care.
I am a busy mom and understand that sometimes life happens. If you need to reschedule I ask that you give me a 12+ hour notice, so that I can dedicate the open time to helping other families find rest.
You'll pick your ideal meeting time on my schedule and reserve that time. Once you are booked, I will prepare any resources for our meeting that can benefit your family or you on your journey. You will receive an email that has our meeting link and a reminder of the time you chose. When the meeting is ready to start you will just need to click the link and join. I would love your camera to be on to create a deeper connection, but you are invited to come as you are and if that means you need your camera off, that's fine. All I ask is you have a way to hear and speak to me. All meetings, unless otherwise noted, are 60-minutes and are packed with actionable education and ample time to ask the questions you need to.
These are crossings of the threshold that is your journey. We will come together and connect, spend time building relationship, and I will lead you through a meditative visualization that sets the tone for our time together. We will spend the initial 60-minutes in communion and learning you desires and setting realistic expectations and goals around sleep and well-being. The closing ceremony was designed to aide you in integration, grounding, and celebrating the end of our journey and the thriving of your own.
Practical Questions
Nope! I am a huge advocate for breastfeeding, but I have a comprehensive knowledge around pumping, combination, and formula feeding as well. I can work with the nutritional and sleep components regardless of how you nourish your baby. However, I do want to make it clear that I am not a lactation educator nor an IBCLC. Your feeding relationship is important to me and we will walk your journey the way you need to. If we need outside help, I will refer you out.
All packages have a built in safe sleep component, leaving fear mongering at the door. I can help you regardless of the style of sleep, as long as you understand the safety protocols. If you bedshare and want to bedshare still, I've got you. If you've never bedshared and don't want to, I've got you. If you currently bedshare and want to stop, I've got you. This is about meeting you where you are and walking towards your goals together. Never control.
If you've found your way here, you have probably thought about the need for postpartum support. Whether for yourself or your little. Take a look at what journeying with me looks like, take the free quiz to see if it aligns, and/or book a free Kindling Call with me to talk it out. I promise I won't give you an icky sales pitch, we will just see what type of guidance, if any, would fit in your life right now.
